Why apply rather than just sign up?

Because I'd rather turn away your money than take it and fail to deliver.

Most programs let you buy immediately. A checkout page, a payment link, done.

This one asks you to apply first.

That's a deliberate choice and it works in your favour.

The Mastery Program produces strong results for the right candidates. For the wrong ones, it won't and no amount of good coaching changes that. Before either of us commits, I want to understand your situation well enough to know which one you are.

The introductory call is where that happens. Thirty minutes. No pitch, no pressure. A direct conversation about where you are, what you're trying to achieve, and whether this program is genuinely the right way to get there.

If it is, we talk about next steps. If it isn't, I'll tell you and I'll try to point you toward something that actually fits your situation.

What the call is not:

It's not a sales call designed to overcome your objections and close you before you leave the page.

It's not a free coaching session where you get general advice and I hope you'll buy at the end.

It's not a formality before an automatic yes.

What the call actually is:

You'll leave knowing whether the program makes sense for your specific background, timeline, and target. I'll leave knowing whether I can genuinely help you and what that would look like.

The conversation typically covers:

  • Where you are right now:  Your background, your field, how long you've been looking, what's been happening with applications

  • What you're trying to achieve: The role, the industry, the timeline, the personal circumstances around the transition

  • Where the gaps are: CV, LinkedIn, targeting, interview approach, confidence, clarity on direction

  • Whether the program addresses those gaps: Honestly, not optimistically

Who this program works for:

PhDs and postdocs who are ready to commit to a structured process and implement what we work on together. The program produces results when clients do the work between sessions and not just during them.

It works best for people who:

  • Have a genuine desire to move to industry rather than a vague sense that they should

  • Are willing to reframe how they present their academic work, even if that feels uncomfortable at first

  • Can dedicate real time to the process alongside their current commitments

  • Are looking for a tailored process, not a quick fix

Who it doesn't work for:

It's not the right fit for everyone. The program is unlikely to produce results if you:

  • Are still genuinely undecided about whether you want to stay in academia or move to industry

  • Are looking for someone to do the work for you rather than with you

  • Need an immediate result within the next two to three weeks with no runway for the process

  • Are primarily looking for validation rather than honest feedback on what needs to change

If any of those apply, the introductory call will surface it and I'll be direct about it rather than taking your money and hoping for the best.

A note on availability:

The program is capped at 5 clients per month. Not as a scarcity tactic, because this is just me and quality requires focus. When I'm at capacity, I'm at capacity. If you've been considering this for a while, the introductory call is the right first step while availability exists.

At no point did I feel pressured. He took the time to understand my background, career goals, and challenges, explained how the programme worked, what I could realistically expect from it, and how it might help in my specific case. Those conversations gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision

- Adithya, PhD (Physics) → Application Scientist

This was very, very helpful and a good investment, I would say.

- Anonymous PhD Client

30 minutes. No commitment.

A direct conversation about whether this is right for you.
